CIF shortlisted in the Mersey Maritime Awards 2020

CIF Consulting is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for Micro Business of the Year in the Mersey Maritime Awards 2020.

CIF Consulting was selected after demonstrating its achievements across a range of key areas including leveraging best fit technology for clients, job creation and delivering a positive impact locally.

Based in Liverpool, the company was formed in 2018 with a focus on the digitalisation of the transport and logistics sector to remove traditionally manual and inefficient processes.

In the last 12 months it has employed two full time members of staff and has been supporting clients with automating daily tasks using Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Manually intensive tasks that were being handled using emails and spreadsheets have been replaced using data science techniques.

Emails are now processed automatically and useful data and images are extracted and made available in an online application that is searchable by key fields.

This automation has benefited users by reducing the time spent processing emails and updating systems, producing regulatory documents automatically without major changes to processes and the benefits were felt immediately.

David Roff explained: “CIF is challenging traditional ways of working in the maritime sector through the introduction of relevant technology that makes sense to the users and their daily workload.

“This approach enables users to remain in control and focus on the value to them rather than the technical solution.

“I am delighted to have been shortlisted for Micro Business of the Year in the Mersey Maritime Awards 2020 and wish to thank everyone who continues to support and endorse what we do.”

Mersey Maritime is one of Europe’s most successful maritime cluster organisations, representing the interests of over 1700 maritime, logistics and energy businesses on Merseyside and beyond.

Voting to select the winners in the Mersey Maritime Awards 2020 opens on Monday February 3th and closes Monday February 10th. To vote for David, visit the Mersey Maritime website.

The winners will be announced on March 6th 2020 at the St George’s Hall in Liverpool.
